Work With Me
Career Counselling for Young Adults 18+
Not where you want to be? Not sure where you’re going? I can help.
Perhaps you tried university or college and it didn’t work out? Or maybe you didn’t attend post-secondary after high school — and now you want to? Maybe your plan isn’t turning out how you wanted — or perhaps you’re still waiting for that plan to formulate. No matter where you’re at, I can help you move forward. This isn’t the end … it’s just the beginning!
The reality is, finding one’s way easily into the job or career of their dreams is a rarity (especially without guidance). Some may stumble onto a good fit, but those are the lucky few. And staying in the wrong situation while waiting for luck isn’t a good strategy.
The wrong educational path or job drains energy, time, and happiness from your life. Your WHOLE life is affected — the dissatisfaction spills into other areas of your life, affecting relationships, mood, and general wellness. This is why working with a career counsellor at this point in your journey is a great idea!
Session 2:
Our second meeting focuses on interpreting the results of two personality assessments—Personality Dimensions and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator—which offer insights into your personal strengths and preferences.
Session 3:
Our third meeting focuses on interpreting the results of the Strong Interest Inventory, which identifies your unique interest patterns.
Sessions 4 & 5:
The fourth and fifth meetings are dedicated to reviewing potential educational pathways and career options, incorporating your feedback to help refine the list of possibilities.
At the end of each meeting:
I will assign a small amount of homework including assessments and exercises relating to your specific career needs and goals.
At the end of the process:
You’ll receive a comprehensive final report that includes all assessment results, a detailed and customized list of educational pathways and career options suited to you, as well as a tailored set of considerations and recommendations for your review. This completed career guide will serve as a valuable reference for your ongoing research and decision-making throughout your career.
